It’s a follow up to his 2008 exhibition, “Unbranded: Reflections in Black by Corporate America.” “I think what happens with ads — when we put text and logos on them, we do all the heavy lifting of making them make sense to us. But when you see the image naked, or unbranded, you start to really ask questions.”

S1E1‘s Jessi and CNN Geek Out‘s Genevieve Dempre have some things to clear up for CNN Geek Out!‘s Joe Peacock, including that models paid by companies to work at conventions are different from cosplaying attendees. “The other problem with this whole conversation about which women are legitimately geeks and which women are just faking it for male attention is that it still assumes that men are the ultimate arbiters.” Meanwhile, Adam P. Knave has some things to say about poser-hunting that I’m sure have nothing to do with any larger discussion about policing the geekiness of ladies.
